Pacific Cabinets is dedicated to quality fabrication and we are proud to beconsidered part of the elite group of fabricators certified by AWI, SEFA, the Woodwork Institute, and FSC.

Architectural Woodwork Institute (AWI)

The AWI Quality Certification Program (QCP) is a valuable quality assurance tool that ensures custom, interior architectural woodwork, one of the most highly visible aspects of many construction projects. It is endorsed by the General Services Administration (GSA) and the American Subcontractors Association (ASA).

Certification credentials are earned by woodworking firms who, through comprehensive testing and inspection, demonstrate the ability to fabricate, finish and/or install work in accordance with the quality grade criteria set forth in the Quality Standards Illustrated (QSI) book.

Scientific Equipment and Furniture Association (SEFA)

The Scientific Equipment and Furniture Association has established a certification whereby independent testing organizations, using criteria developed by SEFA, evaluate candidate products for compliance.

A SEFA Certified product bears a certification seal and is recognized in the marketplace as a quality manufacturer able to meet established performance standards as stated in SEFA’s Recommended Practices.

Woodwork Institute

The Woodwork Institute’s Certified Compliance Program is an established quality assurance tool for millwork projects used in conjunction with the standards contained within the Manual of Millwork. It provides an unbiased means for confirming the quality of millwork fabricated and installed to a particular project’s plans and specifications.

Specifically, the Certified Compliance Program assures that shop drawings will contain the necessary documentation to confirm the project’s design and quality intent; it advises the fabricator and/or installer of the designer’s concern with and requirement of quality; and it provides verification of compliance according to the designer’s specified requirements.

To receive Woodwork Institute Certified Compliance, applicants must submit woodworking projects to the Institute for inspection. When specified, the Institute will inspect shop drawings, the fabricated product and/or installation process to assure that it complies with the Manual of Millwork standards and the project specifications.

Forest Stewardship Council (FSC)

FSC is an independent, non-governmental, not for profit organization established to promote the responsible management of the world’s forests.

Products carrying the FSC label are independently certified to assure consumers that they come from forests that are managed to meet the social, economic and ecological needs of present and future generations.
